Volunteer

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Swim for Charlie. Whether participating on our board of directors or on committees, as instructors or lifeguards the volunteers are what deliver the result
– water safe children.

How can you help?

Instructor

Instructors- Teach 2nd grade students basic water safety and swimming skills. Instructors are given a handbook which details what is taught at each skill level and lesson. There is
a training session with Swim for Charlie’s Program Director.

Lifeguard

Lifeguards- Monitor the Swim for Charlie learners to keep them safe as the instructors focus on teaching. Current lifeguard certification is required. Instructors and lifeguards who are students (high school or college) will receive community service credit for their time volunteering.

Committee member

Committee members- Swim for Charlie has the following committees: Program, Finance and Development, Communication and Outreach, Governance and Nominations, Facilities and Operations. Members on these committees help move the mission forward.
